Questions about UlcerMagic
Plain answers about how UlcerMagic works, how to use it, who should not use it and where to find it. Distributors will find more on the Partner with us page.
General
What it is, how it works and where to find it.
It works on the surface of the ulcer, where it forms a protective layer. That layer relieves the pain and shields the ulcer while your mouth heals naturally.
No. A mouth ulcer (canker sore) is a painful sore inside the mouth, such as on the inside of the cheeks, the gums or the tongue, and it is not contagious. A cold sore is a blister on or around the lips, caused by a virus. UlcerMagic is for ulcers inside the mouth only. Do not use it on cold sores, or on blisters in the mouth or on the lips.
You'll find it in pharmacies in Jordan, Qatar and Palestine. Ask your pharmacist for UlcerMagic by name. In Qatar you can also buy it from online pharmacies, and in all three countries you can order it online from the Goodness Care shop. The Where to Buy page has the details for each country.
Using it
How to apply it and what to expect afterwards.
First dry the ulcer with one of the cotton swabs. Open a bottle and dip a second swab into it for at least 10 seconds, until the tip is fully covered. Hold that swab on the ulcer for 10 seconds, using a rolling motion to cover the whole ulcer and keeping it on the ulcer only. Then rinse your mouth thoroughly with water and spit it out.
Yes, briefly. A short sting when the liquid touches the ulcer is normal, and the pain then eases within seconds. The liquid may also cause local irritation or mild swelling. If the irritation is strong, rinse your mouth with plenty of water, and see your doctor or dentist if it continues.
The white colour you may see on the ulcer after applying the liquid is the protective layer it forms.
No. Treat each ulcer once only, and do not apply it again to the same ulcer. Do not leave the liquid on healthy parts of the mouth either.
Each soaked swab carries enough liquid for one typical ulcer, and you treat each ulcer once only. If you have many ulcers at the same time, or one very large ulcer, see a doctor or dentist before using it.
Most mouth ulcers clear up on their own within a week or two. UlcerMagic relieves the pain and forms a protective layer over the ulcer while it heals naturally. See a doctor or dentist if an ulcer lasts more than 3 weeks.
Safety
Who should not use it, and when to see a doctor or dentist.
Not if they are under 12. It is for adults and children aged 12 and over. Keep it out of the reach and sight of children.
No. Do not use it during pregnancy.
No. Do not use it if you are allergic to sulphur in any form. The full ingredient list is on the pack and on the product page.
It is for use in the mouth only. Do not swallow it, as it may be harmful. If it is swallowed, do not make yourself vomit, and get medical help straight away. If the liquid gets into the eyes, remove any contact lenses at once, rinse the eyes with water for at least 15 minutes and get medical advice straight away.
See a doctor or dentist if an ulcer lasts more than 3 weeks, keeps coming back, is very large, bleeds or looks different from ulcers you have had before, or if you also have a fever or feel unwell.
